Ina Lea Folkerts 1929 - 2013

Ina Lea Folkerts, 83, died Aug. 9 at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. Born Dec. 4, 1929 in Craig County, Okla., she was the daughter of Walter and Amy Ellen (Cumiford) Minson. On Oct. 24, 1952 she married Doyle Dean Folkerts in Syracuse. He died on Jan. 13, 2013. A resident of Great Bend for 58 years, coming from Craig County, Okla., she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Folkerts was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend.
Survivors include four sons, Greg Wyrick and his wife Cheryl of Grand Lake, Okla., Byron Folkerts and his wife Robin of Derby, Randall Folkerts and his wife Mary of Pawnee Rock, and Darren Folkerts of the home; four daughters, Willena Baker of Tulsa, Okla., Karen Johnston of Oswego, Lori Ediger and her husband Ron of McPherson, and Lisa Cervantes and her husband Joe of Parsons; one brother, Walt Minson, Jr. of Madres, Ore.; one sister, Edna Barnes of Wister, Okla.; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one  great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Minson and Robert Minson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Strasen officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
