ELLINWOOD — Iris LaVern (Buckbee) Pohlman, 84, passed away on Feb. 18, 2017, in Ellinwood. Born on Oct. 24, 1932, in Ellinwood she was the daughter of Roy and Elizabeth (Heinze) Buckbee. She was a lifetime Ellinwood resident.
Mrs. Pohlman was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ and the American Legion Auxiliary, both in Ellinwood, as well as numerous other church and community projects throughout the years.
Survivors include husband of 60 years, Alfred Pohlman; two sons, Alan (Casey) Pohlman and Mark (Shannon) Pohlman; three daughters, Vickie (David) Tucker, Janie and late husband (Gary) Davis, and Sonya (Greg) Lamatsch; two sisters, Margie (Howard) Wallace and Madge (Robert) Yarmer; a sister-in-law, Barbara Buckbee; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Bill and Monroe Buckbee.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Immanual United Church of Christ in Ellinwood. Burial will follow at Lakin-Comanche Cemetery in Ellinwood.
