ELLINWOOD — Jack Andrew Teeter, 86, passed away in Great Bend, Kan. on April 1st , 2023. Born on June 19, 1936 in Wauseon, Ohio he was the son of Dillard and Gladys (Busani) Teeter.
Jack was a Kansas City (Turner) resident from 1957-2015. Jack served in the Navy from 1955-1959. He married Dianna Louise Lynch on August 17, 1957 in Brenner Ridge, Mo. They moved to Great Bend, Kan. in 2015. She passed away on Feb. 27, 2022.
He worked at Mid-Continent Cold Storage in Bonner Springs, Kan. He enjoyed metal detecting and belonged to metal detecting clubs in Kansas City and Hutchinson, Kan. He was also a member of the Heartland Dalmatian Club.
Survivors include daughters, Martha Ann Socolofsky, Topeka, Kan., Tammy (John) Sturn, Ellinwood, Kan., Lori Jane (Michael) Spuehler, Kansas City, Mo.; grandchildren, Jason Socolofsky, Justin Socolofsky, Lainie Sturn, Lauren Spare, Eli Sturn, Brandon Spuehler, Heidi Hood; eight great-grandchildren. Jack was predeceased by beloved wife of 64 years, Dianna and brother, Ronald Dillard Teeter; step brother, Ira Teeter; and
step sister, Virginia Mendenhall.
Cremation has taken place and private inurnment will take place at a later date at Maple Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, Kan. Memorials are suggested to Golden Belt Humane Society in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
