GARDEN CITY, Mo. — James Matthew Zager, 65, died Nov. 29, 2017, at Great Bend Regional Hospital, Great Bend. He was born Jan. 22, 1952, at Kansas City, Mo., the son of Anton and Wanda (McCune) Zager. A self-employed drywall installer, James had currently been a resident of Garden City, MO, previously living in Austin, TX, and Holden, MO. James was a United States Air Force veteran.
Survivors include one brother, Mike Zager and his wife Caron of Great Bend; one sister, Jayne Sosa and her husband Gabriel of Kansas City; and his terrier, Bessie. He was preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Zager.
Graveside services will be at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery at a later date. There will be no visitation. Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, is in charge of arrangements.
