ELLINWOOD — Jim Riemann, 80, passed away June 5, 2016, at Woodhaven Care Center in Ellinwood. Born Nov. 30, 1935, in Claflin, he was the son of Neal A. Riemann and Lavelle (Mullenix) Riemann. In 1968, he married Rachel Elvera Serbin.
Survivors include his wife Vera Riemann of Ellinwood; a son, James N. Riemann Jr. of Bismark, S.D.; two daughters, Cheryl Mendenhall of Great Bend, and Carol Rowe of Heizer; a brother, Gerald C. Riemann and Shirley, of Hutchinson; a sister, Beverly Stein and Harold, of Decatur, Ill.; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Roberta Riemann, Phyllis Riemann, Norma Price, Carol Hoden, and Wanda Kuhn.
He chose to be cremated and cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on June 30, at Lakin-Comanche Cemetery in Ellinwood. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials can be sent to the family as a love gift in care of the funeral home.
