ELLINWOOD — Janet Marie Griffin, 62, died Jan. 14, 2012 at Salina Regional Health Center.
Born May 16, 1949 in Sterling, she was the daughter of Roy M. Griffin and Dorothy M. Owens.
She graduated from Ellinwood District High School in 1967 and attended Fort Hays State University. A longtime resident of Ellinwood, she was retired from Sunflower Diversified Services in Great Bend.
Ms. Griffin was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Auxiliary, both in Ellinwood.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Ritterhouse, Ellinwood; and Brandi Smith, Haysville; a brother, Larry Griffin, Shawnee; two aunts, Louise Hellinger, Waggoner, Okla. and Norma Jurratt, Lyndon, Texas; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kimple Funeral Chapel in Ellinwood with the Rev. Don Paden officiating. Burial will be at the Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood.
Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Janet Griffin Fund.
