LARNED — Jerald L. Jinks, 75, died Sept. 2 at Central Kansas Medical Center St. Rose Campus, Great Bend. He was born Feb. 7, 1935, in Big Bow, the son of Charles Lewis and Delores Pudge Jinks. An area resident for the past 63 years, he was a heating and air conditioning specialist.

Mr. Jinks was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Larned, and a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

On June 7, 1958, he married Elnora L. Schultz in Raton, N.M. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Benny E. Chesebro, Waxahachie, Texas, and Barry A. Chesebro, Topeka; a brother, Eldon Jinks, Wichita; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Jinks, and a sister, Lois Zabaldo.

HIs funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Mark Slattery and Pastor Ron Day presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned. Memorials may be sent to the First Southern Baptist Church of Larned or the American Heart Association, both in care of the mortuary. Personal Condolences may be left at www.beckwithmortuary.com.
