GREAT BEND — Jill DeWald Gregg, 43, a lifelong Great Bend resident, passed away at her home in Great Bend Monday, Aug. 20, 2018 after a sudden illness.
Jill was born Dec. 27, 1974 at Lindsborg to Cory D. and Jannifer L. (Middleton) DeWald. She married Lance Gregg in June of 1996 — they later divorced. Jill worked for the Comfort Inn Hotel as a front desk clerk for the past two years. She loved her “fur-baby” dog Hurley, and loved spending time with her two sons, especially with all their sporting events when they were in school.
Jill is survived by two sons — Gage DeWald (and his fiancé, Jasmine Reyes), Russell, Kansas; and Hunter D. Gregg, Wichita; one granddaughter, Paisley DeWald; her parents, Cory D. and Jannifer L. DeWald, Great Bend; and her maternal grandmother, Anita Middleton, Hill City.
Jill was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Marvin Middleton, and her paternal grandparents, Rupert and Dorothy DeWald.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 at Charter Funerals in Great Bend with Pastor Larry J. Schumacher officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Great Bend City Cemetery North in Great Bend.
