Joanne Barr 1933 - 2012

LAURIE, Mo. — Joanne Barr passed away Sept. 30. Born March 15, 1933, at Wichita, she was the daughter of Gene and Ruth Ann Connor. She attended Wichita North High School and went on to nursing school to obtain her degree as a Registered Nurse.
Joanne was an active member of St. George’s Episcopal Church and The Daughters of the King, a member of the St. George choir, an active member of the Elks Lodge No. 2705, where she was honored to be Lady Elk of the Year and Lady Elk Officer of the year.
Survivors include her three children, Jeff Watkins, Brenda Muncy, and Paula Wyant; five grandchildren, Dillon Wyant, Kasey Hadlock, Madison Muncy, Annelise Collins and Grant Watkins; and one great-grandson, Dominick Hadlock. She was preceded in death this year by her husband Darrell Barr.  
A celebration of life is planned for November in Laurie, Mo.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the Elks Lodge No. 2705 Tree of Joy funds.
