ELLINWOOD — Joel Everett Standlee, 21, passed away in Ellinwood, Kan. on Aug. 29, 2018. Born on Nov. 29, 1996, in Great Bend, Kan., he was the son of Rick and Jacci (Blazer) Standlee. Joel was a graduate of EHS 2016. He enjoyed playing football and participated in track. He worked for Standlee Truckline as a tow truck driver. He enjoyed hunting and collecting knives and guns. He liked playing pool, driving his motorcycle and riding his four wheeler at the river with friends. Joel had a smile for everyone he met. He loved his family and friends and they loved him and he will be forever missed.  

Survivors include parents, Rick and Jacci Standlee, Ellinwood; brothers, Jayson Standlee (Marsha), Ellinwood and David Standlee, Ellinwood; nieces Laura Standlee and Elizabeth Standlee and nephew, Wyatt Standlee all of Ellinwood; grandparents, Jim Blazer, Natoma, Kan. and Frieda Augustine, Cawker City, Kan. Joel was preceded in death by grandparents, Kenneth M. and Helen Standlee and Ruby Blazer; and brother, Kenneth M. Standlee.  

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018 at the Cavalry Baptist Church in Ellinwood, Kan. with Rick Standlee officiating. Burial will follow at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood. Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. with family present from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, 2018 at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood.
