ALBERT — John Herman Miller, 95, May 30, 2021, passed away at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. He was born March 12, 1926, in rural Albert, to Conrad and Anna (Rients) Miller. John married Norma Jean Gilliland Aug 21, 1949. She died Aug. 4, 2010.
John was a lifelong farmer, being proud of living his entire life on the very farm in which he was born. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, rural Albert.
Survivors include one son, Ronald Miller of Great Bend; two daughters, Karen McBrayer and husband Andrew of Edmond, Okla., and Debra White and husband Mark of Cold Spring, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Marshall Miller, Michael Miller and wife Jill, Scott McBrayer and wife Jenny, Jeff McBrayer and wife Sandra, and Heather White; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Abbie Miller, Louis Miller, Edward Miller, Martin Miller, Eilt Miller, Carl Miller; one sister Tina Marshall; one great granddaughter, River Rose McBrayer; and daughter-in-law, Ann Miller.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Peace Lutheran Church, with Rev. Wayne Baldyga. Interment will follow at Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, June 4, 2021 at Bryant Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be given to Peace Lutheran Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
