Joseph Jay Worcester 1965 - 2014

GREAT BEND — Joseph Jay Worcester, 48, died June 23 at Great Bend Regional Hospital.
Born July 29, 1965, in St. Louis Park, Minn., he was the son of Oakley Leonne and Buelah Ilean (Van Nurden) Worcester.
On April 22, 2004, he married Tamara Walker in Colorado Springs, Colo. A resident of Great Bend since 2013, coming from Lindsborg, he was the pastor of Eads, Colo. Christian Church, Mulhall, Okla. Christian Church, and H2Ochurch.tv, Lindsborg. He was also a trainer for Focus on the Family.
Mr. Worcester was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during Desert Storm.
Survivors include his wife, Tamara Worcester, of the home; father, Leonne Worcester of Stillwater, Okla.; ex-wife, Lori Aldridge of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sons, Josiah Worcester of St. Louis, Mo., and Isaiah Dowds and his wife Rebecca of Lindsborg; two daughters, Hannah Worcester and Rebekah Worcester, both of Manhattan; one brother, Barry Worcester of Healdton, Okla.; and two sisters, Becky Schipper of Stillwater, Okla., and Cindy Boyd of United Arab Emirates.
A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hill City Christian Church with Pastor Cal Swickard officiating. Burial will be at the Hill City Cemetery. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
