CASTLE ROCK, Colo. — Joseph (Tony) F. Lane, 73, has followed His Shepherd and His God to His Eternal Home on Oct. 28, 2015, at his home surrounded by family and loved ones. His courageous journey with cancer was an inspiration to all. Tony’s legacy is engrained in the character of all the lives he touched. He was the former Chief of Police in Great Bend. He was Castle Rock Chief of Police for 25 years, 50 years in Law Enforcement.
Loving husband of 50 years to Lynne; very proud father of Joseph, Richard (Cara), Mark (Suzy), Kendra, Steven (Amanda) and Paula (Patrick); papa of Megan, Caden, Nicole, Garrett, Gracie, Rylan, Caleb, Jordan, Millie and Ella; brother of David, Mary, Katie, Margaret, Richard and the late Peter and Stephen Lane. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parish, 2746 E. 5th Street, Castle Rock, Colo. A Vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parish. Memorials in Tony’s memory may be made to the Tony Lane Memorial Fund, c/o US Bank, 100 Founders Parkway, Castle Rock, CO 80104. The Lane Family will direct all memorial contributions received to Tony’s favorite charities.
