Joyce Joann Desmarteau, 86, passed away July 23, 2020.

She was born Nov. 14, 1933 to Jack and Wanda Brown. Preceded in death by her parents; brother Jay-Jay; sister Karen Bryant; and husband Jerry. Survived by brother Larry and wife Reva; sons Larry and Mike; daughter Vicki; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.  

Joann grew up and graduated high school in Hill City, Kan., on March 9, 1956 she married Jerry Desmarteau. She loved camping and traveling in their 5th wheel camper. She was a member of the Cowboy Sam’s Camp Club.  

A graveside service will be held Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020 at the Penokee Cemetery in Penokee, Kan. at 2 p.m. Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Isis Shrine (note on the bottom of the check, as deemed necessary by the Shriners).
