GREAT BEND — Judith M. Moore, 73, died May 14, 2015 at her home in Great Bend.
She was born May 26, 1941 at Great Bend, the daughter of Chester Wright and Leola Margaret (Marmie) Burgett.
She married Charles Edward Moore Nov. 26, 1960 at Great Bend. He died May 30, 2006. She owned and operated Chasmo’s Greyhounds. Mrs. Moore was a lifetime Great Bend resident. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Great Bend, and National Greyhound Association.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Moore and his wife Jill, Great Bend; and Craig Moore and his wife Renea, Great Bend; a daughter, Shelley Hejny and her husband Jim, Olmitz; three brothers, Anthony Burgett and his husband William Loggins, Lexington, Ky.; Chester Burgett II and his wife Barbara, Hutchinson; and Richard Burgett and his wife Pam Santa Margarita, Calif.; five grandchildren: Brindon Hejny, Justin Hejny and his wife Ashley, Lake Moore, Luke Moore, Raegan Moore; two step-grandchildren, Daniel Immediato and Brandy Loomis; and three step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Charles Edward Moore, II.
A Vigil Service is scheduled at 7 p.m., Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend. Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled from 1 to 9 p.m., Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorial Funds are suggested to Golden Belt Humane Society or St. Rose Health Center Endowment Fund for Golden Belt Home Health and Hospice, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
