STAFFORD — Julynn Kisner, 47, lost her battle to cancer on Wednesday Jan. 31, 2024 at Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington. Julynn was born Nov. 9, 1976 in Stafford, the daughter of Lynn Whitlock and June Marlene Whitlock. Julynn attended Stafford High School and graduated in 1995. After high school, Julynn went to work for Walmart in Pratt. 

Julynn married Kenny Kisner on Nov. 12, 2013 at Hoffman Chapel in Stafford. 

One of her greatest accomplishments was organizing and running one of the best Wiener Dog Races in the state of Kansas from 2009-2018. She donated all proceeds from the races to several animal rescues. Julynn had many hobbies from golf to building her Lego creations to reading hundreds of books and growing chia pets. The happiest of her hobbies was loving and spoiling her pups. Over the years she was a fur mama to Bogey, Remy, Romy, Bones, Betty White, and Charley Brown.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, father Lynn Whitlock, her fur babies Bogey, Romy, and Bones.

Survivors include husband, Kenny of the home; mother, Marlene Whitlock of Stafford; brothers, David Lance Whitlock of Ellinwood, and Daren Laine “Gweedo” Whitlock (Dixie) of Vernal, Utah; stepdaughters, Kayli Kisner of St. John, and Kristin Petty (Steve) of St. John; #1 niece Shandy Whitlock aka Shandy Dandy of Vernal, Utah; and #1 granddaughter Brensyn Petty of St. John.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 2 p.m. at Minnis Chapel in Stafford. Burial will follow at the Stafford Cemetery.

Friends and visitors are welcome to visit on Monday Feb. 5th from 1-5 p.m. at Minnis Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chasing Tails Rescue all in care of Minnis Chapel 125 N. Main St. Stafford, Ks 67578.
