HOISINGTON — Junior Lee Patterson, 84, died Sept. 9 at Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood. He was born Jan. 1, 1926, at Collinville, Okla., the son of Pet and Alma (Johnson) Innman. He married Betty J. Phillips on Sept. 24, 1948, at Beaver. He worked for NCRA as a production foreman for 41 years, retiring in 1988. He was a longtime Hoisington resident and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Mr. Patterson was a member of VFW Post No. 7428, American Legion Post No. 286, and Masonic Lodge No. 331, AF&AM, all of Hoisington.

Survivors include his wife, Betty, of Hoisington; two sons, Jim Patterson of Ogallah and John Patterson of Wamego; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Jesse Mitchell.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Hoisington Cemetery, with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 7428 and American Legion Post 286 of Hoisington. The Rev. Dick Ogle will be officiant. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. Donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
