HOLYROOD — Kammeron Jakob Haggerty, 16, died Oct. 12, in rural Ellsworth County. Born March 4, 1997 in Salina, he was the son of Jeffrey and Spring (Warta) Haggerty. He was a Junior at Central Plains High School in Claflin where he participated in FFA, football and Drama Club.
Kammeron was a member of the Lorraine Baptist Church and the AWANA club at the church.
Survivors include his parents, Spring and Trent Miller of Holyrood, and Jeffrey Haggerty and Tammy of Navarre; siblings, Chance Haggerty, Dillon Haggerty, Grant Heldsteb-Miller, Katelynn Miller, Ethan Miller, Weston Miller, Landonn Miller, Zayden Miller and Kolin Miller, of the home in Holyrood; step-brothers, Jimmy Lambert of Springfield, Ohio, Shawn Lambert, Ryan Lambert and step-sister, Creo Lambert, all of Navarre; maternal grandparents, John and Thelma Warta, of Geneseo; paternal grandparents, Bill and Vicki Manuel, of Hillsboro; grandparents, Terry and Peggy Heldsteb, of Junction City; maternal great-grandpa, Joseph Warta, of Turon; bonus brother, Jeremiah Wells of Lorraine; bonus sister, Kyli McGreevy of Ellsworth; best friend Adreinne Danner of Claflin; uncles Jeremy Warta and family, of Lyons, Eric Haggerty of Lawrence, and Robert Warta of Jefferson City, Ohio; along with numerous great aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Lorraine Baptist Church with burial following at the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ Cemetery in Holyrood. A closed casket visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. today, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., at Parsons Funeral Home in Ellsworth. Memorials may be given to the Kammeron Jakob Haggerty Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home.
