Karry Lynn Deschner, 58, passed away June 11, 2020, at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan. She was born on April 9, 1962, at Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Butch and Glynis (Dawe) Boyd. She married Brad Deschner on Sept. 6, 1980, at Natoma. He survives. A Great Bend resident since 1982, coming from Ellinwood, Karry was a clerk for Wheatland Electric Corporation. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend. She enjoyed Nascar races, riding her razor, crafting at home and loved her dogs. She was a big K-State fan. Karry enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her kids and grandkids.
Survivors include, two sons, Matt Deschner of Great Bend, and Josh Deschner and wife Tiffany of Valley Center; a daughter, Barbara VanderGiesen and husband Blake of Great Bend; a brother Ron Boyd and wife Mary of Kipp, Kan.; a sister, Tracie Gaunt and husband Mark of Topeka; and four grandchildren, Tyler Deschner, Brooke Deschner, Paige Deschner, and Quinn Deschner. She was preceded in death by her parents and parents –in-law, and a son, Justin Deschner.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Pastor Barbara Jones presiding. Inurnment will be 3:30 p.m. in the Natoma Cemetery, Natoma, Kan. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
