GREAT BEND — Katherine Joan Bailey, 95, died June 21, 2016 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Nov. 27, 1920 at Huerfano County, Colo., the daughter of Michael and Anna (Soltis) Hudran.
She married Arthur L. “Jack” Bailey Nov. 27, 1943 at Pueblo, Colo. He died May 2, 2007. A homemaker, Mrs. Bailey was a Great Bend resident since 1946 coming from Pueblo, Colo.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Altar Society, St. Monica Sewing Circle, funeral dinner committee and a former member of St. Rose Music Mothers.
Survivors include four sons, Lawrence Michael Bailey and his wife Toni, Fort Collins, Colo.; Rod Raymond Bailey and his wife Martha, Simpsonville, S.C.; Donald Lee Bailey and his wife Jackie, Giddings, Texas; and Kevin James Bailey and his wife Aileen, Leavenworth; three daughters, Marilyn A. Petty and her husband Steve, Great Bend; Alice Marie Neidhart and her husband Paul, Naperville, Ill.; and Dianna Kay Allison and her husband Greg, Great Bend; a sister, Christine Bailey, Great Bend; brother-in-law, B. D. Bailey and his wife Carol, Sierra Vista, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Wayne Bailey, four brothers, Michael Hudran, George Hudran, Harry Hudran, and infant Willie Hudran; five sisters, Mary Beres, Rose Kosarek, Sue Solomon, Annie McAllister and Helen Alberici, a grandson, Marc Neidhart, and a great-grandson, Fernando Perez.
Altar Society Rosary will be at 4 p.m. and Vigil Service at 7 p.m., Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at 10 a.m., Monday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend, with Father Ted Stoecklein officiating.
Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery North, Great Bend. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m., Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to Prince of Peace Parish, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
