PAWNEE ROCK – Keith C. Converse, 88, passed away Jan. 7, 2015, at the Leisure Homestead at St. John.
He was born March 22, 1926, in Great Bend, the son of Percy E.A. and Helen Ann Pfister Converse. A lifetime area resident, he was a farmer and pianist.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Pawnee Rock, and the First United Methodist Church in Great Bend. He also was a member of the Barton County People to People, the Larned Music Club, the Radium Rangers Senior Center and Phi Kappa Psi at Kansas University.
Survivors include 13 first cousins and a sister-in-law, Nancy J. Converse, Great Bend.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles P. Converse; and four first cousins.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, at the First Presbyterian Church in Larned with Pastor P.J. Southam and Dr. Scott Solether presiding. Visitation is scheduled from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with family present from 2 to 4 p.m., at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the Pawnee Rock Cemetery, Pawnee Rock.
