Keith R. Nightengale 1940 - 2012

CHASE — Keith R. Nightengale, 71, died March 29 at his residence in Chase. Born June 17, 1940 in Great Bend, he was the son of Vault “Ernie” and Elizabeth Kramer Nightengale. He was a graduate of Great Bend High School. On March 22, 1985 he married Brenda Singleton in Geneseo. A resident of Chase for 27 years, formerly of Great Bend, he was a lifetime oilfield sales representative currently working for Kitco Distribution of Great Bend.
Mr. Nightengale was of the Catholic faith and was a former mayor and city councilman for the city of Chase.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda, of the home; two daughters, Lisa Nightengale of Great Bend and Shelly Kurth of Wichita; and two grandchildren, Preston and Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Terry Kurth.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday at Chase Springdale Cemetery in Chase with Johnnie Hardie officiating. Memorials are suggested to Keith’s grandchildren’s Education Fund in care of First Bank in Chase.
