NEW CAMBRIA — Keith Wayne Davis, 69, of New Cambria, Kan., passed away at his home on Friday, May 21st.
Keith was born in Leavenworth, Kan. on July 3, 1951, the son of the late David Keith and Beverly Jane (Brown) Davis. On July 5, 1975 he was united in marriage to Susan Ludwig. Keith graduated from Barton County Community College with a degree in Technical Drafting. After serving with the U.S. Army in Vietnam, he worked as an engineering technician, ultimately retiring from the City of Salina in 2011.
Over the many years of Keith’s life he enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking, photography, collecting rare and interesting rocks, and the company of his family.
Keith is survived by his wife of 45-years, Susan; daughter, Crystal Boyer and husband Curtis, of Solomon; daughter, Jenny Thompson and husband Jason, of Salina; son, Allen Davis and fiancé Jackie, of Springfield, Mo.; sister, Cynthia Davis, of Ohio; and ten grandchildren, Clayten, Isabella, Grace, Emma Gayle, Lily, Jordan, Jackson, Madelyn, Emma Jean, and Cameron.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, May 31st at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home in Salina. On Tuesday, June 1st at 10 a.m., a celebration of life will be held at the funeral home. A private burial will be at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery at Ft. Riley with Military Honors by the Ft. Riley Honor Guard. The family suggests memorials to the Disabled American Veterans in Salina. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.carlsonfh.net.
