Kenneth Michael Kern, 54, died April 20, 2016, at his home in Great Bend. Born Dec. 19, 1961, in Great Bend, he was the son of Kenneth M. and Ellen (Carter) Kern. A lifetime resident of Great Bend he was an oilfield driller.
Survivors include a son, LaKeith Cape of Great Bend; a sister, Mary W. Bath and her husband Kenneth of Topeka; and a brother, Lee “Phil” Kern of Great Bend. He was preceded in death by one brother, Wade Kern.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Schumacher officiating. There will be no visitation has cremation has taken place.
