Kim Marie Pelster, 57, died July 20 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita. Born Jan. 1, 1956 in Great Bend, she was the daughter of Robert L. Sr. and Lodema (Garrett) Pelster. A lifetime resident of Great Bend and Hoisington, she was a foster mother and a driver for St. Francis Academy.
Ms. Pelster was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ellinwood.
Survivors include mother, Dee Pelster of Great Bend; one daughter, Brooke Pelster and her fiancé Ralph Heath of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.;
two sisters, Vickie Clawson and her husband Gaylen and Debbie Tucker and her husband Scott, both of Great Bend; one brother, Matthew Pelster of Great Bend; and one grandchild, Jayden Pelster. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert L. Pelster, Sr.; and three brothers, Mark Pelster, Edward Pelster, and Rob Pelster.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Claire Gadberry officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to Kim Pelster Funeral Expense Fund, in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net
