SPEARVILLE — It is with deep sadness that we must announce that our son, Kolton Jax Hubbell, 2 ½ months, died Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City.
Born on December 27, 2021, his short time with us was spent enjoying cheek rubs and cuddling with his mom, bouncing on his dad’s lap, giggling at his older brothers’ shenanigans, late night “talks” with both of his parents, and most of all, receiving snuggles from all of his family and friends.
Baby Kolton will be remembered by his parents, Jeff and Uriah (Dawson) Hubbell, of Spearville; two brothers, Mason and Landon Hubbell, of the home; grandparents, Connie Dawson and Steve and Cindy Hubbell, all of Spearville; great grandparents, Carl and Jane Hubbell, of Spearville, and Don Chalfant, of Great Bend; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all of whom loved him very much. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Steve Dawson; and great grandmothers, Vivian Chalfant and Margie Hubbell.
Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Spearville. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church with Fr. John Forkuoh presiding. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Spearville. Visitation will be Wednesday from noon to 4 p.m. at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Kolton Jax Hubbell Memorial Fund in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
