BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Kristin Nairn Washington, 46, died Feb. 4 at Clarehouse Hospice, Tulsa, Okla. She was born Feb. 23, 1966 at Topeka.
She graduated with an associate’s degree from Barton Community College in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program. After graduating, she moved to Buena Park, Calif., where she worked within her profession. In 2006, she and her daughter, Taylor, relocated to Broken Arrow, Okla., where she continued her profession as an occupational therapy assistant, working for the Tulsa Nursing Center.
She was a member of Association of Occupational Therapy Assistants.
Survivors include her mother, Margaret Ann “Margie” Nairn of Great Bend; one daughter, Taylor Washington of Owasso, Okla.; one brother, James Michael Nairn and his wife Wendy and family of Great Bend; and two sisters, Kelli Dawson and husband Kent and family of Crestview, Fla. and Jennifer Reed and husband Kevin and family of Yukon, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her father, James “Jim” Nairn.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9 at the First Presbyterian Church, 2400 Washington, Great Bend with The Reverend Dr. Scott V. Solether officiating.
Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Bryant Funeral Home.
