COMMERCE, Okla. — Gene Tunks, 66, passed away Sept. 2, 2017, in Commerce, Okla. He was born Aug. 10, 1951, in Belleville, the son of Delbert and Norma Tunks of Great Bend. He graduated from Turner High School in Kansas City and attended Pittsburg State University.
Gene is survived by his parents; three daughters, Shelly Nedom and Seth of Baxter Springs, Jennifer Tunks of Woodward, Okla, and Michelle Grover and Chris of Miami, Okla.; two sisters, Karen Magill and Don of Kansas City, and Kathy Miller and Tim of Great Bend; seven granddaughters; aunts, uncles, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
