BURLINGTON, Iowa — LaDonna Maxine Denney, 79, died June 23, 2012 at her home in Burlington, Iowa with her son and daughter-in-law at her side.
She was born Jan. 25, 1933 at Kiowa, the daughter of Laurence G. and Bertha Pearl (Downtain) Thomas
She married Donald Dean Denney, Sr. May 23, 1952 at Great Bend. He died Aug. 14, 2000. She was a cook for Great Bend USD 428, retiring after 35 years of service. Mrs. Denney was a Burlington, Iowa resident. She was a member of First Christian Church, Great Bend.
Survivors include a son, Donald Dean Denney, Jr. and his wife Stephanie, Burlington, Iowa; two granddaughters; four great-grandsons; four step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dorwin Thomas and Larry Thomas; and three sisters, Virginia Thomas, Patty Thomas, and Mildred Glynn.
Inurnment and Memorial Service is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hoisington Cemetery.
Memorial Funds are suggested to Great River Hospice House, West Burlington, Iowa; or First Christian Church, Great Bend, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
