Laela K. Fellin, 25, died June 26, 2015, at her grandmother’s home in Great Bend. She was born Aug. 16, 1989, at Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Michael Edward and Gayle M. (Appel) Fellin.
Leala was a student teacher at Bowman Technical Institute, along with being a pillar within the community of children, educating them in the classic fine arts of viola, guitar, art, literature, and poetry. She played an integral active part within many organizations, such as PRIDE, LBGT, and Pit Bull Rescue. Laela also enjoyed traveling and playing with her band for several years.
Survivors include her mother, Gayle Fellin and her significant other, Scott Livingston, of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Naloni Fellin Stewart and her husband Jake, of Denver, Colo.; grandmother, Karen Appel of Great Bend; and an aunt, Janell Crosley of Hutchinson. She was preceded in passing by her father, Michael Fellin.
Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorial fund donations to Pit Bull Rescue may be sent in care of the funeral home. A private family service will be held at a later date. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
