HATFIELD, Ark. — Lanny Lee Brummel, 75, of Hatfield, Ark., died Feb. 22, 2017, at home. Born on April 9, 1941, in Ottawa, he was the son of Gilbert and Roberta Wade Brummel. He was a police officer in Kansas for 30 years.
Mr. Brummel served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion and Free Masons.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Brummel of Hatfield, Ark.; one son, Michael of Cove, Ark.; one daughter, Lana Austin of Cove, Ark.; one brother, Charles Brummel of Portland, Ore.; one sister, Gay Gerardo of Portland, Ore.; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren, Andrea Brummel and Hunter Austin.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, at the Six Mile Cemetery in Hatfield, Ark., with Brother Ron Ladd officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena, Ark.
