Larry W. Jimison, 66, died Oct. 21 at Promise Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson. Born Oct. 27, 1944 in Stafford, he was the son of Howard David and Verda Marie (Staley) Jimison. On Nov. 24, 1964, he married Sue Curtis in Ellsworth. A resident of Great Bend for 47 years, coming from Lorraine, he was the Water Superintendent for the city of Great Bend, working at the water department for 47 years.

Mr. Jimison was of the Christian faith and was a member of AWWA.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Jimison, of the home; his mother, Verda Jimison of Colby; one son, Shane Austin Jimison and wife Karen of Lowell, Ark.; a daughter, Stacie Lee Immenschuh and husband Brian of Great Bend; two brothers, James Jimison and wife Sherry of New Era, Mich. and Kyle Jimison and wife Debbie of Bushton; a sister, Cheryl Urbanek and husband James of Colby; a brother-in-law, Dennis Preston of Oakley; three grandsons, Kody Clawson and wife Phylleicia, of Ellinwood, Kane Clawson of Great Bend, and Payton Jimison, of Lowell, Ark.; and a step-grandson, Colin Immenschuh. He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael David Jimison; and one sister, Cathy Marie Preston.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Tom Sheldon officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to CKMC Foundation for the benefit of Heartland Cancer Center, in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
