LaRue Irene Maneth 1937 - 2016


GREAT BEND — LaRue Irene Maneth, 78, died April 5, 2016, at Cherry Village Nursing Home in Great Bend.
Born Sept. 9, 1937, in Nekoma, she was the daughter of Marcellus A. and Irene Rose (Basgall) Legleiter. On June 11, 1957, she married Melvin John Maneth in Olmitz. He died on Oct. 16, 2010. A resident of Great Bend since 2007, coming from Albert, she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Maneth was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the Altar Society, in Great Bend.
Survivors include three sons, James Maneth and his wife Carla and John Maneth and his wife Traci, both of Great Bend; and Jeffrey Maneth, Bellevue, Wash.; a daughter, Marla Hungerford and her husband Charles, Omaha, Neb.; a brother, Cletus Legleiter, St. Marys; two sisters, LaVonne McCarty, San Tan Valley, Ariz., and Judy Weiser, Phoenix, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Trevor Maneth and his wife Michel, Kalee Maneth and Jared Maneth; two great-grandchildren, Pyper Maneth and Ryker Maneth; two step-grandsons, Nathan Andrews and his wife Tracey, and Aaron Andrews and his wife Jenna; and a step-great-granddaughter, Nora Andrews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Legleiter.
Altar Society Rosary will be held at 4 p.m. and Vigil Service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend with Father Don Bedore celebrating. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are requested to Prince of Peace Altar Society or Prince of Peace Parish, in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net
