BURDETT—  Lawrence L. Bauer, 88, died Dec. 6, at the Country Place Senior Living, Larned.  Born Dec. 28, 1924 in Burdett, he was the son of Philip and Frances (Mooney) Bauer.  A lifetime area resident; he was a farmer and stockman.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned.  On April 26, 1952 he married Eleanor Hammeke in Ellinwood.  She survives.
Other survivors include:  four sons, Tom and wife Karen, Arkansas City, Brad and wife Shelley, Burdett and Alan and wife Mary, Rogers, Arkansas and Dana Bauer, Burdett; a daughter, Annette Reece and husband Kent, Burdett; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Emmett and Maynard.
Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned, with Father Warren Stecklein presiding.  Vigil Service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel.  Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, all at the Mortuary.  Burial will be in the Browns Grove Cemetery, Burdett, KS.
Memorials may be given to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church or the Golden Belt Home Health and Hospice, both in care of the Beckwith Mortuary, P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550.
