Leo Schinstock 1945-2011

LARNED — Leo Schinstock, 66, died Nov. 4 at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned.
He was born Nov. 2, 1945, at Great Bend, the son of Joseph and Edna Countryman Schinstock.  A lifetime area resident, he was an entrepreneur.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned. He was a 4-H leader, a township trustee, a member of the American Ag Movement and the Oklahoma Horse Show Association.
On June 11, 1977, he married Mary Ellen Gillespie at Kinsley. She survives.
Other survivors include; a son, Dwight Schinstock, Independence, four daughters; Lezlie Morris and husband Mark, Pella, Iowa; Annette Schinstock, Cherryvale; Tina Strickland and husband Tim, Larned; and Deitra Blevins and husband Bert, Kinsley; two brothers; Donald Schinstock, Nickerson; and Melvin Schinstock, Kinsley; a sister; Pat Barrett, Larned, 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Schinstock.
A funeral Mass is scheduled at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned with Father Warren Stecklein presiding. A vigil service is scheduled at 7 p.m. Monday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel.  Visitation was scheduled from Sunday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the mortuary, Larned.  Burial will be in the St. Nicholas Cemetery, Kinsley.
