LAS CRUCES, N.M. — Leonard Loraine Mullenix, 94, died July 13 at his home in Las Cruces, N.M. He was born Dec. 9, 1919 at Chase, the son of George and Lola (Fuson) Mullenix.
He married Audrey Estella Schwerdtfeger Oct. 12, 1941 at Bushton.  He had radio repair shops in Claflin and Bushton, in the late 1930s and 1940s. Following World War II, he worked as a service technician for Sears and Montgomery Ward. He later was employed as an electronics technician for the Federal Aviation Administration, retiring after sixteen years.  Mr. Mullenix was a Las Cruces, N. M., resident who had previously lived in Kansas and New Mexico.
He was a United States Army veteran, serving during World War II.  
He is survived by wife: Audrey Estella Mullenix of the home; six daughters: Charlotte Zielke and husband Clyde of Rockledge, Fla., Kerry Cleveland and  husband Terry of Roswell, N.M., Kathy Scribner and her husband Eddie of Las Cruces, N.M., Patricia Jones and husband Steve of Ponder, Texas, Linda Harden and husband Paul of Ashland, and Judy Green and husband David of Franklin, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Marvin Mullenix, Bernard Mullenix, Clarence Mullenix, Stanley Mullenix, and Oren Mullenix and one sister, Georgie Grizzell.
The funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Interment will be at Bushton Cemetery, Bushton. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, 415 N. Main, Hoisington. Memorials are suggested to  Mesilla Valley Hospice, in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
