Linda K. Saenz 1953-2011
GREAT BEND — Linda K. Saenz, 58, died March 31, at her home in Great Bend.
She was born February 5, 1953, at Great Bend, the daughter of Dale M. and Rita (Spencer) Farthing.
She married Michael Joe Saenz Aug. 19, 1998, at Las Vegas, Nev. She worked for the Barton County Register of Deeds office and formerly at Natural Gas Pipeline, Acme Tool and Fuller Brush. She was a lifetime Great Bend resident. She enjoyed her family and attending their many activities.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Joe Saenz, of the home; two sons, David Blessing and wife, Alana, Great Bend; Luke Saenz and wife, Lisa, Wichita; a daughter, Michelle Smith and husband, Jeff, Lawrence; three brothers, Gary M. Farthing and wife, Fe, Oakland, Calif.; Bill D. Farthing and wife, Delores, Hays; James A. Farthing and wife, Linda, Great Bend; a sister, Susan D. Brown and husband, John, Woodward, Okla.; and seven grandchildren, Kalyn, Brock, Kyndall, Flora, Layla, Madden and Liam.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant brother, David Farthing.
A funeral service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2 at the Bryant Funeral Home with Officiant The Reverend Tom Sheldon. Interment will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 1 with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bryant Funeral Home.
