Lorene Carol Breon, 99, died Nov. 1, 2015, at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born Jan. 10, 1916, in Morris County, she was the daughter of Whilmer and Anna (Swenson) Erikson. On Aug. 30, 1958, she married Lial K. Breon. He died on Nov. 18, 2000. A resident of Great Bend since 2002, coming from Council Grove, she was a secretary in the aircraft manufacturing industry.
Mrs. Breon was a former member of Council Grove United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Lois Allphin of Hastings, Neb.; sister-in-law, Betty Erikson of Great Bend; nieces and nephew, Richard Erikson of Salt Lake City, Utah, Karole Erikson of Great Bend, Phyllis Erikson of Naperville, Ill., Lou Ann Erikson of Highland Park, Ill., and Gayle Erikson-Laney of Kansas City, Mo.; and many great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Glen M. Erikson; and one nephew, Charles Allphin.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Greenwood Cemetery in Council Grove. Memorials are suggested to Golden Belt Humane Society, Council Grove United Methodist Church or Donor’s Choice, in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
