DAVIS, Calif. — Lorraine Lacey Ryan, 82, died May 25, 2012 at her home in Davis, Calif.
She was born Sept. 11, 1929 at Garnett, the daughter of Hazel (Branton) and O.W. Lacey. She married Elmore Ryan Aug. 15, 1954 at Garnett.
She was a resident of Davis, Calif. after residing 58 years in McCracken. The graduate of Garnett High Sdchool and Kansas State University was a schoolteacher at McCracken and Cimarron. She served as a homemaker and school, church and community volunteer. She was a member of the McCracken United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, McCracken Library Board, Kansas School Board Association and a 29-year USD 395 school board member.  
Survivors include a daughter, Cathie Ryan Shapiro, Sacramento, Calif.; a sister, Jonelle Reynolds, St. George Utah; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elmore Ryan; her parents, Hazel and O.W. Lacey; an infant sister, Marie; her stepmother, Hazel Hodgeman Lacey; and a son, Glenn Ryan, Jr.
A Memorial Service is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 30 at the McCracken United Methodist Church with services conducted by Pastor Steve Rice, Hammond, Wis., the nephew of Lorraine Ryan. Inurnment will be the McCracken Cemetery.
