ELLINWOOD — Louis Deane Tylicki, 76, passed away April 16, 2018 at the Rice County Hospital in Lyons, Kan.
The son of Walter and Anna Tylicki, he was born on March 9, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a retired maintenance engineer for the Ellinwood District Hospital after 20 plus years of service.
He had a passion for working on cars, loved to mow, and was an avid fan of traditional country and western music as well as old western movies. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Stafford, Kan. He never went anywhere he couldn’t take his two dogs, Jake and Apollo. Taking care and spending time with his family was most important to him.
He is survived by one son, Jim (Rebecca) Tylicki; one daughter, Dawn (Charles) Miller; two brothers, Robert and Walter Tylicki; one sister, Mary Ann Heath; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Susan Ann.
A gathering for friends and family will be held from 4 – 6 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Ellinwood District Hospital, 605 N. Main, Ellinwood, Kan. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Ellinwood District Hospital.
