WILSON — Lucille Weber, 91, died Aug. 26, at the Ellinwood District Hospital. Born Sept. 19, 1919 in Dubuque, she was the daughter of William and Katie Weber Polzin. On Nov. 8, 1944, she married Marland Weber in Beaver. He died Aug. 2, 1997. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a partner with her brother John Polzin and operated the J&L Department Store for 10 years. In 1971, she was elected to head the Wilson Chamber of Commerce, and was the first lady president of the organization. She was elected unanimously to serve a second year in 1972.

Mrs. Weber was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and Altar Society and D of I, all of Wilson.

Survivors include a son Kenneth of Bunker Hill; a daughter, Kay Ann Wilbur of Great Bend; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; six brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral Mass was held on Aug. 29 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Burial was at the St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in Wilson. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
