Lucinda Guliford 1914-2014

Lucinda Guliford, 100, died Sept. 30 at Piedmont Fayette Hospital, Fayetteville, Ga.  Born May 31, 1914 at Jetmore, she was the daughter of Noah and Eliza (Gill) Reed.
She married Woodson H. Bradshaw March 25, 1940 at Jetmore. He died Aug. 18, 1943.  She then moved to Great Bend where she met and married George Alonzo Allen Guliford Oct. 23, 1945 at Great Bend.  He died Feb. 9, 1992. Mrs. Guliford was a homemaker.  In Nov. 2011, Mrs. Guliford moved to Fayetteville, Ga., to live with her son.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she was a clerk of the church and a church mother, and the NAACP, Great Bend.  She was a Great Bend Senior Center volunteer.
Survivors include a son, Ernest M. Bradshaw and his wife Ana of Fayetteville, Ga; two grandchildren, Gerald E. Bradshaw and Jeffrey S. Bradshaw, and several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Melvin Reed and Manuel Reed; one half-brother, Lawson Reed, and three sisters, Helen Reed, Viola Reed, and Marjorie Franklin.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, Oct. 9 at 11 a.m. at Bryant Funeral Home with the Reverend Leroy Keith officiating. Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8 at Bryant Funeral Home.
