Luis Antonio Guerrero

ELLINWOOD — Luis Antonio Guerrero, 61, of Ellinwood, Kan., passed away Aug. 17, 2020 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita, Kan. He was born Jan. 12, 1959 in Civdad Acuña Coahvila, Mexico, the son of Tomas and Cruz Ojeda Guerrero. Luis has resided in Ellinwood, formerly of Chase, Kan. and Dublin, Texas. He was a truck driver for Cal-Maine Foods from 1998 until 2020. Luis also served as a pastor for Nueva Esperanza Church, Great Bend. He enjoyed buying cars, properties to fix up, and mowing the yard. 

On July 7, 1978, Luis was united in marriage with Enedelia Riojas. She survives of the home. He is also survived by his four children, Ariana McCrory and husband Mitchell of Chase, Ana Delacruz and husband Gabriel of Topeka, Kan., Sandra Guerrero of Topeka, Kan., and Luis Antonio Guerrero Jr. of Ellinwood; two brothers, Thomas Guerrero, and Santiago Guerrero; three sisters, Martha Esquivel, Zulema Hernandez, Lupe Peña, and Leticia Hernandez; 16 grandchildren, Alexis Sotelo, Jasmine Sotelo, Tiffany Sotelo, Jessica Murphy, Ismael Martinez, Hana Guerrero, Liam Guerrero, Luis Delacruz, Ana Delacruz, Viridiana Rincon, Alejandra Rincon, Humberto Rincon, Carlos Rincon, Areley Rincon, Gavin McCrory, and Skye McCrory; four great-grandchildren, Sophia Murphy, Mireya Franco, Amiliano Franco, and Mariana Burrola. Luis was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Maria Sotelo Guerrero; grandson, Jaden Guerrero; and a granddaughter, Chassidy Guerrero.  Graveside funeral service will be at 4 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 23, 2020 at Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020 at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons. Memorials may be given to Enedelia Guerrero Memorial Fund in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
