GREAT BEND — LuVera Rohr, 83, passed away June 27, 2012 at her home in the Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born on Feb. 14, 1929, in the family home in rural Bazine, she was the daughter of Martin and Anna Depperschmidt Stoecklein.
On May 30, 1949, she married LeVane Rohr in Ness City. He survives. She was a sales clerk for the Toggery in Ness City and for other clothing and shoe stores. She was a wonderful wife and mother and will be remembered for her outstanding cooking.
Mrs. Rohr was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Altar Society, and Daughters of Isabella, all of Great Bend; and the American Legion Auxiliary, Ness City.
Survivors include her husband, LeVane Rohr, of the home; two sons, Neil Rohr (Gloria), Parker, Colo.; and Keith Rohr, Hermosa Beach, Calif.; three daughters, Sandy and Leigh Rohr, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Mary Rohr, Los Angeles, Calif.; five brothers, Melvin (Fran), Independence, Mo., Leonard (Clarice), Ness City; Jim (Venita), Hutchinson; Don (Beth), Spring Hill, and Martin Jr. (Judy) Stoecklein, Eufalo, Okla.; five sisters, Cleo Werth (Al), Hutchinson; Mary Ann Pavlu (Tony-deceased), Topeka; Sister Darlene Stoecklein, El Paso, Texas; Betty Gassman (Sam), Manhattan; and Donna Werth (Paul), Great Bend; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; three sisters-in-law, Martina Holmes, Ness City; Ida Gassman, Dighton; and JayDee and Vera Schmidt, Larned; and a brother-in-law, Alvin Rohr, Cunningham.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Rohr; three brothers, Harvey and Gary Stoecklein and an infant brother; and three sisters, Sister Virginia Stoecklein, Dorothy Stoecklein and Judy Stoecklein.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, at the church. Burial will be at the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Parish Vigil and Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Sacred Heart Church in Ness City.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, and from 5 p.m. until service time at the church.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Sacred Heart Cemetery Fund.
