M. Aileen Bryant, 93, a long-time resident of Great Bend, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020, at Almost Home, an assisted living facility in Great Bend, Kan., where she had been a resident for five years. She was born in Hoisington, Kan., on July 1, 1926, the daughter of Willard Byron “Bus” and Frances Fern (Kent) Hall. Aileen married Laurence Eugene “Larry” Bryant Jan. 1, 1947, in Hoisington. Larry passed away June 6, 2011.
Aileen was a graduate of Hoisington High School. Following graduation, she worked for Pennsylvania Central Airlines and lived in Detroit, and following marriage, lived in Philadelphia for three years, while Larry attended Eckles College of Mortuary Science. Aileen later worked for American State Bank in Great Bend from which she retired after 28 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Great Bend.
Survivors include one son, Craig Bryant and wife Nancy of Osceola, Mo.; one daughter, Lexie Frankovich and husband Mike of Houston, Texas; one sister, Ramona Tefft of Wichita; six grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Aileen was preceded in passing by her husband, Larry; and two brothers, Bob Hall and Kent Hall.
