ELLINWOOD — Maggie Ann (Diebert) Brown, 82, died March 1, at her home in Ellinwood of pancreatic cancer. Born April 7, 1932, near Hoxie, she was the daughter of Julius Edwin and Fairy Fay (Barr) Deibert. On June 5, 1949, she married Earl Robert Brown. He died in 1997. She was a homemaker and worked as a housekeeper and as a cook at the Alcove Club.
Survivors include two sons Terry Brown of Bel Aire, and Tony (Brenda) Brown of Brookshire, Texas; three grandchildren, Trisha Kuhn, Christina Lea and Bryan Whitman; five great-grandchildren; and brothers Kenneth (Darlene) Deibert of North Platte, Neb. and Frank (Vonnie) Deibert of Brewster.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m on Tuesday at the Immanual United Church of Christ in Ellinwood with Pastor Jennifer Fair presiding. A private burial of her cremated remains will be held at a later date at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood.
