Marcia Ann Schremmer 1953 - 2022

HOISINGTON — Marcia Ann Schremmer, 68, passed away Jan. 15, 2022, at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington.  She was born May 23, 1953, in Great Bend, to Oswald “Ossie” and Hazeltene “Hazel” (Driscoll) Schremmer.

A life time resident of Hoisington, Marcia was a graduate of Hoisington High School and Barton Community College and retired from the United States Postal Service in 2009 after 34 years of dedication.  She was a member St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, Altar Society, US Bowling Association and the VFW Auxiliary.  She was a passionate fan of the Hoisington Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs, especially enjoying her time with family.  

Survivors include: sister-in-law, Pat Schremmer of Hutchinson; nephew, Brian Wilborn of Hoisington; nieces, Krista Brewer of Hoisington, Kari Bloomer of Ottawa, and Lisa Pickering of South Hutchinson; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Virgil Schremmer; sister and brother-in-law, Keith and Miriam Wilborn; and nephew, Shawn Schremmer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Hoisington, with Father Bob Schremmer celebrating.  Interment will follow at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Cemetery, Hoisington. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022 at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, with a Vigil and Rosary 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Kans for Kids or Clara Barton Foundation or St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, P.O.
