SALINA - Marcus John Radke, 95, passed away March 1, 2020, at Dignity Care, Salina. He was born on December 14, 1924, in Barton County, Kan., to John & Milusine (Boger) Radke. He married Berneice Wilhelm on December 12, 1945, at Milberger. She died on February 25, 2009.
Marcus was a passionate farmer and avid reader. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend. Marcus was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the 7th Division, 32nd Infantry from January 1945 to January 1947, during World War II.
Survivors include, a son, Dennis Radke and wife Wanda of Salina; a daughter, Carol Radke of Omaha; two grandchildren, Darren Radke and wife Diana, and Ryan Radke and wife Erika; and five great grandchildren, Soren Radke, Madelyn Radke, Levi Radke, Hunter Radke, and Hope Radke. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Berneice Radke; four brothers, Arthur Radke, Paul Radke, Tobias Radke, and Otto Radke; and two sisters, Bertha Wegele, and Milda Eckhoff.
Visitation will be held from Noon to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at Bryant Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Reverend Dennis Kootz presiding. Interment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
