Margaret L. Prosser, 92, died April 3 at Cherry Village Nursing Home in Great Bend. Born Oct. 29, 1921, in Pryor, Colo., she was the daughter of Matthew and Mary (Fabiney) Vigna. On Nov. 22, 1945, she married Joseph D. Prosser in Beaver. He died on Sept. 12, 1982. A Great Bend resident since 1945, coming from Pryor, Colo., she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Prosser was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Altar Society, Daughters of Isabella, American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary, all of Great Bend.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Johnson and her husband Jim, of Great Bend, and Mary Jo Radcliff and her husband Dan, of Independence; daughter-in-law, Mauricia “Mish” Prosser of Great Bend; six grandchildren, Douglas Prosser, Darin Johnson, Mark Prosser, Kristen Prosser Walker, Jeffrey Radcliff, and September Radcliff Troxel; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Prosser; one daughter, Karen Prosser; two brothers, Louis Vigna and Matthew Vigna Jr.; and one sister, Rose Mandarich.
Altar Society Rosary will be held at 4 p.m. and a Vigil Service with Daughters of Isabella Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 4, at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend with Father Don Bedore as celebrant. Burial will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are requested to Sunflower Diversified Services, in care of the funeral home.
