Marguerite Lila Horn, 76, died  Sept. 1 at Hays Medical Center, Hays. She was born Feb. 20, 1936 at Lamar, Colo., the daughter of Walter R. and Eva  (Grippin) Smith. She married William E. Horn Dec. 24, 1952 at Scott City.  He survives.
She was a homemaker. Mrs. Horn was a Great Bend resident since 2002, coming from rural Hoisington. She was a member of the Church of Christ and Great Bend Senior Center
She is survived by husband, William E. Horn, of the home; one son, Warren Bowers and wife Melinda of Blue Springs, Mo.; and two brothers, Warren Smith of Oak Grove, Mo. and Leonard Smith of Pawnee Rock. She was preceded in death by brother, Raymond Smith
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Church of Christ with Chuck Marshall, minister, officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend.
Visitation is from 1- 9 p.m., Tuesday at Bryant Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Memorials can be made to the Church of Christ or Great Bend Senior Center, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
